The week’s activities will take place across two iconic Madrid institutions, the Medialab-Prado and the Museo Reina Sofia.

 

Democracy Lab

The four-day Democracy Lab will take place in the Medialab-Prado.

Medialab-Prado is a citizen laboratory of production, research and broadcasting of cultural projects that explores the forms of experimentation and collaborative learning that have emerged from digital networks. The Medialab-Prado is part of the Department of Culture and Sports (former Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism) of the Madrid City Council.

 

International Conference

The international conference is being held at the Museo Reina Sofia.

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia is Spain’s national museum of 20th-century art. Offering a mixture of national and international temporary exhibitions in its many galleries it is one of the world’s largest museums for modern and contemporary art.

 

Travel

Both venues are within five minutes walking distance of each other.

Metro: Atocha (L1)
Bus: 6, 10, 14, 19, 26, 27, 32, 34, 37 and 45 lines
From Barajas Airport: Express Bus 24h
Parking: Madird is a busy city and we would recommended you travel by public transport. If you must drive, parking is available at Atocha Train Station and Plaza Sánchez Bustillo.
