Jon Kingsbury leads an inter-disciplinary team at Nesta, UK, that designs, commissions and delivers multi-million pound innovation programmes that help the creative and digital economy. He opened the D-CENT launch event “Democracy reboot: Re-imagining democracy and currency in Europe” organised in March 2014 in London.

“D-CENT is being tested with real users and real community groups. That’s different to a lot of other technology projects which generally tend to focus on what people want to build rather than focusing on the needs of the community.”
