CAPS OFF and CONFERENCE – 1-2 July 2014 Brussels

CAPS – Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation, is an initiative of the European Commission DG CONNECT to support new bottom-up ideas exploiting ICT networks to enable new forms of societal cooperation and collaboration, to increase participation in collective actions and to pioneer new cooperative solutions to sustainability issues.

It appeals to civil society organisations, NGOs, local communities, young entrepreneurs, artists, students, hackers, industries of any size and academic organisations in any discipline, both humanistic and technical.

In nearly one month, on July 1st and 2nd, a series of events will take place in Brussels, to showcase the results of the first CAPS projects, discuss hot topics in social, economic and technological areas, and present a broad overview of opportunities for European funding in this area, in particular the forthcoming second call of CAPS within Horizon 2020 (objective ICT10). There will be plenty of opportunities to network and discuss your ideas with other participants, including some of the newly appointed members of the European Parliament. You can even send in your own cartoon on CAPS to the open competition!

You can browse the full programme at caps-conference.eu, both for the CAPS OFF dynamic schedule of unconferences and workshops and for the CAPS CONFERENCE opened by Robert Madelin.

Please help us spread the word to any interested community! Registration is free but necessary for a correct planning, please unregister in case you change your plans so to leave a free seat to another guest.
